The Rookies: the Humans Imported February 22, 2010
Back to species index

In the last three decades, the humans have begun the painstaking process of leaving their home star system and touching the galaxy. The long trek from Earth into the galaxy at large has not been an easy one: the modern galaxy is filled with species far more numerous and far more advanced than humanity, who are forced to face the reality of being a very, very small fish in a very, very large pond. However, the creation of their first deep space colony on Epsilon Indi III is an important first step, for as so many have learned in the past, to survive in the galaxy today one must become a part of it, lest it come to you before you come to it. Still divided and quarrelsome at home, the humans face the additional difficulty of posing a united front towards a series of alien species while preventing the internal squabbling between the various nations back on Earth from overwhelming them in space.
