Players should be aware that privacy on a MUSH is an oxymoron. Anything they input into the game will be transmitted, usually unencrypted, between countless stops along the Internet before arriving on the MUSH, and anything the MUSH replies with will make the same trip back. At any of these stops, a system administrator or other eavesdropper could read every character. And when it's arrived at the MUSH, the game's admins could read or log whatever comes in, while players will be able to see anything you say or page and log it to retrieve at their own discretion.

Therefore, a good rule of thumb is to not do anything here you wouldn't want people to know about.

On this game, players have the right to log anything that they see. Any forms of OOC espionage such as recording puppets are prohibited without administrator consent.

The game administrators have a responsibility to conduct themselves in an open and transparent manner. Therefore, "DARK spying", or sitting in a venue while set DARK covertly monitoring what is going on, is strictly prohibited. Sitting DARK on channels is permitted as channels are widely public venues. If, however, you catch somebody spying on a room, please report it immediately.

The administrators have the ability to collect complete logs on the entire game or certain suspect players. These logs would include any commands input at any point while the log is running. This logging will only be enabled when the security of the game is at risk or when compelled to by legal issues.
