| Rules for Roleplaying on From the Cradle | Imported February 16, 2010 | |||||||
| Back to policies index | ||||||||
In roleplaying as in life, there are sometimes extreme situations which require an extreme response. However, some people are not comfortable with seeing either the situations or the responses. Profanity, violence, and similar phenomena are permitted in public roleplay on From the Cradle. Note specifically that sexuality is not. If a player is uncomfortable with the contact of a scene, they should request a fade to black. The consequences of the action will be played out but the action itself will not be. If a character picks a fight with a large Balorim but the player wishes to fade to black, for example, the combat system will be used to find the consequences of the fight and the results will be taken as having ICly occured, even if the actual punches and gunshots are not posed out. In general, finding a tone of roleplay that everybody can enjoy is a matter between players and not something that can be dictated by the rules. We ask that players respect each other and show common sense, and to remember that if you don't like the way somebody RPs, don't RP with them. | ||||||||
