The Ancient Ones: the Twis'rin Imported February 22, 2010
Back to species index

Along with the Captab, the Twis'rin are one of the two major aquatic species in the galaxy: small, frail, squid-like creatures, with delicate long tentacles and a soft membrane their only physical defenses against predators. Their other defenses are far more potent: brilliant, creative minds and an intellect so magnificent that they were in space before most of the other species were starting fires. They were also, for most of their existence, legendary xenophobes, more likely to open fire than open negotiations. So confident were they in their own superiority that while they rested on their tentacles the rest of the galaxy caught up to them, and they finally realised that to fill the galaxy with their unique brand of wisdom wouldn't be such a cakewalk after all.
