Description
Wavy brown hair, green-brown eyes, and delicate but rugged features. John Skylar is no ordinary looking man, he's dashing. His body is on the muscular but lean side, no body-builder but no slob either. His hands are strong, his chizzled chin stronger.
History
Born on good ol' Earth, or Sol as the sluggies? and the rest call it, John Tay Skylar made trouble early on as a barnstorming crop duster pilot. He got lucky when a batch of Government Science types were using the poor to test new technology in space. Humans needed to find their way in space, and damn quick.
Johnny boy flew in the 51st Raptor Division of the United Nations Military Navy Fleet as a gun jockey. He was pretty damn good at flying the piece of junk but he realized after a few firefights that this wasn't what he wanted.
Dropping out of the military John Skylar took it to himself to get enough of a loan to get a small and junky Freighter class ship.
Songbird, Freighter Class
The Songbird is a lightweight freighter ship that is just about only good for running cargo and people. It has an unnaturally large cargo container bay and has absolutely no weapons. Half the hull is scorched, but you wouldn't notice because he's given it a black tent with chemical bonding materials.
The ship can fly both in space, orbital, sub-orbital, and most planet atmospheres.
Possible Scenes:
- Captain Skylar has his own ship but he doesn't mind flying other people's! He's always up for a job, cash is slow on Persephone.
- John Skylar takes no sass from them dirty alien-types, he has no problem starting a bar fight with one of them slugs.
- Exploring planets with Science-types is always a fun thing to do!
