This is a by-no-means comprehensive list of significant IC events to take place on From the Cradle. Things that screwed with or altered the complexion of the game as we know it. That sort of thing.

This will cover both ICly roleplayed events and those in From the Cradle's history books or that took place off-camera.

• March 12: Balorim business magnate Juarkylon Galgeron? has an unfriendly encounter with the leader of an impromptu coalition of stevedores and other landing pad workers. The leader, Anton Gusmanov?, was trying to incite the workers to riot. Galgeron, meanwhile, made some rather direct threats to the workers' well-being, temporarily managing to quell the riot.
• March 17: Not letting his previous failure get him down, Gusmanov manages to provoke a general strike amongst the workers in spite of the protests of Galgeron and Doluf Heignmen?, both trying to keep order with all the subtlety of a brick through a windscreen. Gusmanov insulted both, all but accusing the human Heignmen of treason for assisting the Balorim. Yasuo, caught in the midst of the scene, was just one of those in trouble as a march turned into a riot and a general strike was declared in the industrial sector.
• March to April: The Colonial Police, occasionally assisted by the United Nations Security Force, quell the riots. There are incidents: two workers are killed when trying to ambush a police patrol, for example. The final death toll is twelve workers and two police dead and more injured, but by the beginning of May it is largely business as usual, although tensions still simmer.
• June: there is an unusual volume of diplomatic shipments into the Doggeid embassy. Diplomatic packets to Persephone cannot be subjected to customs inspection, and the Twis'rin grow more suspicious than usual.
• June 17: the Twis'rin march in force towards the Doggeid embassy to force them into an inspection. The Doggeid and Twis'rin legates swapped both words and threats, while the Colonial Police were called out and the Security Force was put on standby. Security Force member Flying Officer Vasili Suvorov as well as Ryan Rhodes were on the scene to try and defuse the situation. A threat that an exchange of fire would doubtless lead to more dead Twis'rin than results eventually caused the Twis'rin to turn back.
• June 18: on the heels of the discussion, an explosion rips through the Twis'rin embassy, killing dozens of Twis'rin who were caught without environmental suits and left gasping on the deck when the water poured out from the ruined embassy. The Twis'rin legate angrily confronted Suvorov and Rhodes and accused the Doggei for the catastrophe, while not-so-subtley accusing the humans of complicity.
• June 19: official Doggei statements disavow all responsibility for the attack. The Twis'rin government goes without comment.
• July 5: after only three weeks, a Twis'rin investigation comes back with what they call decisive proof that the Doggei were responsible for the destruction of their embassy, and that human negligence made it possible. Their demands are steep: the humans are to grant the Twis'rin access to the senior Doggei diplomatic staff who will be taken into custody for interrogation and punishment. An emergency session of the Colonial Council? is called with Sir Francis Gordon chairing and councillors Valentina Velashekova?, Xhao Qiu-Gua?, Joseph Corgan?, and attache Natalie Ressanova present in official roles, while Ahn Un-Bok, Lieutenant-Colonel Jean Valliere, and Balorim Colonel Trusid jel-Bothan advising. The council does not accept the Twis'rin demands, but rather votes to try and placate them with offers of compensation - while extending potentially costly compromises to the corporate and national interests represented on the council to try and get the vote through.
• August 15: a multi-species pro-alien rally is held in the main corridor of the SV Marco Polo?, led by the Twis'rin courier and agitator W'thilthid, against Human preference towards the Doggeid. A group of humans, led by United Nations diplomatic rep Noorah Salmasi and industrialist Xei MeiXing?, attempt to find the source of the alien grievances, while others - Ryan Rhodes and Vasili Suvorov in particular - are much more open in expressing their disdain.
• August 18: The leader of the alien rally, W'thilthid, leaves Persephone after several important cargos entrusted to him turned up missing when they turned up at all. Some elements in the colony claim sabotage.
• August 19: on the heels of the alleged sabotage of W'thilthid's cargo, the Twis'rin consul on Persephone consults his government on Matul'it and institutes an embargo against all trade with the Humans, declaring his support for the species but his disdain for their government and encouraging election of pro-Twis'rin candidates. While the UN rep at the previous rally, Noorah Salmasi, and new resident Penelope Jane? look on, the Twis'rin consul is joined by Human industrialist Ahn Un-Bok in the call for new elections.
• October 12: in the Blue Balorim? bar, Security Force Lieutenant Aluksander Fairmount and a drunken Doggeid stevedore nicknamed "Leo?" are accosted by a Colonial Police corporal Michael Philips. Philips, who had previous dealings with Leo, attacks the Doggeid without provocation using his stun gun. A shocked Fairmount tries to knock out the officer, but he is eventually taken down and severely injured by a late-arriving Ryan Rhodes.
• October 15: under the command of Inspector Benton Williams and accompanied by Corporal Sean Finnegan?, a Colonial Police attachment arrives at the Blue Balorim? looking for Lieutenant Fairmount, the only aggressor Corporal Philips saw from the attack on him. However, a group of armed soldiers under Lieutenant-Colonel Jean Valliere are there. Words are exchanged, and after an ill-aimed shotgun blast from Corporal Finnegan a shootout ensues. Three policemen, including Inspector Williams and Corporal Finnegan, are seriously injured before withdrawing, leaving Finnegan and Williams to the tender mercies of the soldiers. With the arrival of Ahn Un-Bok with corporate guards and Major Pavel Stoychanev with military reinforcements, the matter soon devolved into an irate dispute over authority and jurisdiction.
• October 16: a group of armoured Security Force soldiers under Lieutenant-Colonel Valliere roll into the Central Hub early in the morning, encountering a small group of Colonial Police under Inspector John Brody. Another armed standoff ensues, but this one ends with the military and police agreeing to peacefully part ways, while exchanging the captured Corporal Finnegan? in exchange for Corporal Mick Philips, whose turmoil in the Blue Balorim? got the entire crisis started.
• October 22: a large Twis'rin rally grips the SV Yuri Gagarin, with councillor Sophia Katsiavris? leading the team on the scene to try and deal with the Twis'rin. The Twis'rin protest the handling of the embassy bombing several months ago, and particularly Lt.-Colonel Valliere's decision to reopen the investigation, believing that the UNSF will be biased.
• October 25: an unknown Balorim and an unknown Captab, brawling in the SV Yuri Gagarin, prove the unintentional sparkplug for a major incident. New Persephone arrival Fon Abselem Callas?, together with UNSF Lieutenant Audrey Takei, are accosted by the Balorim thug, who drops the much-abused Captab and stabs Callas when he tries to come to the Captab's defense. Takei shoots the Balorim, Private Andromaeu Hadley, Lieutenant Louis Ronsei?, and military reinforcements arrive, only to face off with police officials on the other side. The military and police bicker over jurisdiction - as usual - before the police agree to take the wounded Balorim and the military take the Captab, who panicks and tries to fight his way out of four soldiers. Meanwhile, Wallace Ying Tuo Quinones Zhou and Ryan Rhodes arrive on the scene, and are blocked in their paths by soldiers as the scene is cleared up. Both Zhou and Rhodes simultaneously decide to slug their escorts and run for it, but both are soon surrounded by gunfire led by Hadley, Takei, and reinforcements led by Lieutenant-Colonel Jean Valliere and Lieutenant Aluksander Fairmount. Takei kills a civilian in the crowd trying to stop Zhou but Valliere and his men seriously wound the outlaw, bringing him down with critical injuries. Fairmount, who owes Rhodes a favour from the shootout in the Blue Balorim, tries to persuade Rhodes to go quietly. Naturally, the two fight anyway, and Fairmount and his squad shoot Rhodes four times, each glancing blows but more than enough to seriously injure him. Both Rhodes and Zhou are taken into custody.
