Telnet is an Internet communications protocol, defined by RFC 15 back in the 1960s. There's lots of try technical data available about Telnet on Wikipedia, but what's important for our purposes is that it's the protocol for connecting to Corporate Expanse: From the Cradle and other games like it.
For those using versions of Microsoft Windows from 95 to XP or any major Linux distribution, you already have a Telnet client on your machine. Windows users should be able to click "Connect" on the bar above us and it will open a Telnet client automatically. This may not work for Linux users, depending on your machine, but if you go to a console and type telnet corpexpanse.com 7117 you'll be able to log in.
But this is a pretty shabby way to play From the Cradle: the Telnet program supports only the most basic features and it can actually become pretty unusable in large scenes. If you want to stick around, we strongly recommend you pick up a dedicated MUSH client. They're small, free, and an awful lot more fun.
